Description
Established in 1810 by Nicolas Schlumberger, this esteemed estate took root on the slopes above the charming village of Guebwiller – a unique town in Alsace that boasts four Grands Crus Classes. Over its 200-year history, Schlumberger has blossomed into one of France’s finest wineries. It has extensive holdings – 180 hectares of vines, with an 80% share in three of Alsace’s greatest Grand Cru sites. Today, the 6th and 7th generations run the estate. Their ‘S’ range has been created as a ‘grand tour’ of the prestigious vineyards in the region. Matured on lees for a wonderful creamy note, this white is beautifully balanced and harmonious. Serve it well-chilled in large glasses and savour solo or paired with Gravlax or mushrooms on toast.
