Description
Ardbeg is the peatiest, smokiest yet such a lot balanced of all of the Islay malts, balancing smokiness with sweetness. Corryvreckan takes its title from a whirlpool positioned off the coast of northern Islay.
ON THE EYES: Deepest amber.
ON THE NOSE: Tarry ropes, creosote and linseed oil are adopted by means of a burst of darkish chocolate, blackcurrants and muscovado sugar.
ON THE PALATE: Intense tastes & textures. Chewy peppered steak with crispy seaweed. Black tarry espresso coffee with darkish end result & almonds. Star anise & hickory then a wonder of bubbling violets
