Winemaker Helienne Van Zyl is known all across the Western Cape. Growing up on a farm and with a number of winemakers in her family, she has a lifetime of experience to draw from. It’s not unusual to see her rattling through the winding roads in her truck, or ‘bakkie’, as she drives around the vineyards, checking the grapes and working closely with growers. It’s from this network of incredible growers that she sources the grapes for this wine, applying stringent quality measures to ensure only the best grapes make it into her winery. The result? Delicious wine that showcases the vibrant flavour of the Western Cape. It’s rich and full-bodied, with a deep crimson colour and pronounced red-berry flavours. Its bold flavours are a perfect match for hearty meat dishes.
