With its “superb harmony and balance” the exceedingly rare Hakushu 25 Year Old was crowned Best Japanese Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2019. It’s also loved by Jim Murray who described it as “a malt which is impossible not to be blown away by” and awarded it an enormous 93 points. The beauty of this 25 Year Old is that they’ve ramped up the Sherry influence the smoke and the weight without losing any of the elegance of the Hakushu style.
