The 2020 vintage of this cracking white scored 91 points from James Suckling, who loved its “attractive fruit and delicious finish.” We think you will too in this most recent release. It’s from Serrada in the heart of Rueda and a third-generation family estate, who completed a new winery in 2005. The team go to great lengths to ensure the wine retains maximum fruit and freshness. Night harvesting is essential in a region where daytime summer temperatures reach 35° (even at 700 metres altitude) and drop 20° at night to a chilly 15°. Cool fermentation and three months ageing on its fine lees is the perfect recipe for this characterful white, zippy and citrusy fresh, yet with rounded creamy weight too. A great apéritif; top with seafood.
