The great thing about blended Scotch is the amount one bottle can contain: fifty or so single malts and four grains go into Ballantine’s signature blend. Since 1910, this has been a mainstay for early evening drinks, giving a light whisky with flavours of vanilla, apple and a touch of heather. With a topping of ginger ale, this is a great way to start the night.
